Pastor's Notes September 11

September 11, 2016

Fifteen years ago tragedy struck our nation with an unprovoked attack on the World Trade Center in New York City by radical Islamist.  After the initial shock the country was united and determined to show our love for our country.  Flags waved everywhere.

Today our country is divided. Racial tension runs high and those same heroes of 9/11 are being targeted by killers.  Athletes who are making literally millions to play a game are refusing to stand at the playing of the National Anthem and flags are being desecrated.  Students in our schools are being taught, patriotism and love for country is outdated and that America is a bad country and is only out for herself.  George Washington and other patriots are besmirched and their reputation and honor is mocked.  History is being rewritten to accommodate the terrible lies about this great and Godly man.

Why this extreme assault on this nation that has done so much good for the world?  Because there is a liberal attempt to remake this country.  To bring us down.  Liberals do not believe we are an exceptional country, a good country, an honorable country.  As one President has declared, "we will fundamentally change America".  And he was right.  We have been fundamentally changed, for the worse.

My prayer for America is that our citizens recapture love for God and secondly love for this great nation.  When Americans recapture that love the American dream will once again become a reality and we will once again be blessed by God.

                                             Pastor Jerry.
